The Super Eagles star is expected to leave Stade Pierre Mauroy this summer, but Les Dogues are already making plans to replace him with another Nigerian.
Lille are preparing for life without Victor Osimhen, but the Ligue 1 side plan to replace the former Golden Eaglets star with his countryman, Umar Sadiq.
According to Francesco Guerrieri via Calciomercato, Lille officials consider the former U-23 star as an ideal replacement for Osimhen.
Sadiq is enjoying an excellent campaign with Partizan Belgrade after his struggles at Rangers and Roma. The 23-year-old has scored 17 goals and provided 16 assists in 38 games for the Serbian side this season.
The former Rangers star joined Partizan from Roma on an initial loan deal before the Black-Whites signed him permanently from I Giallorossi in January.
But his impressive performance is attracting interest from Lille who view him as a perfect replacement for Osimhen.
However, Les Dogues may have to pay 15 million euros to take him away from his Serbian club. The Ligue 1 side are not the only club interested in Sadiq’s services as Borussia Monchengladbach are also keeping close tabs on him.
