The future of Osimhen has been a subject of debate all summer, but the Nigeria international will only leave Les Dogues for big money
Europe’s topsides interested in Osimhen will have to pay big for him after Lille placed a priced tag of €60M (₦26.4b) on him.
The 21-year-old is attracting interests from several clubs across Europe following a brilliant debut campaign in France. Osimhen joined Lille from Royal Charleroi for a fee in the region of €13m last summer.
While many players find it difficult to acclimatise to a new surrounding, Osimhen did not have such problems with the Super Eagles star taking Ligue 1 by storm.
The former Golden Eaglets star scored 13 goals in 26 Ligue 1 appearances while he has five goals in other competitions, which is why it’s not a surprise Europe’s top clubs are battling for his services.
Napoli currently leads the race to sign him, and according to Sports and transfermarkt journalist, Nicolo Schira, the Italian side are ready to offer him €4m a year. However, it will cost I Partenopei€60m to take him away from Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
This comes after Soccernet had reported that Osimhen would only leave Lille for a similar price Arsenal bought Ivory Coast international, Nicolas Pepe.
