Robert Lewandowski’s first-half strike at the Weserstadion handed ten-man Bayern Munich a vital 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen and an eighth straight league triumph for the Bavarians.
Bayern have amassed an unassailable lead at the top of the Bundesliga to claim their 30th league crown in history.
Lewandowski’s brilliantly taken goal – and an excellent save from Neuer late on – proved enough to see off Bremen and ensure Flick’s side, who had Davies sent off, wrap up their crown with two games to spare.
RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund looked set to be genuine contenders at different stages this season, but both sides eventually fell away and succumbed to Bayern’s might.
The start to the season was difficult for the champions, but an 11-match winning run has ensured the title goes Bayern’s way once more.
The Bavarians’ season is far from being over, though, with the DFB-Pokal final still to come in July, while the German giants hold a healthy lead over Chelsea in their Champions League round of 16 tie.
