Former Super Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche has backed Samuel Chukwueze to become one of the best players of his generation.
Uche, who played the majority of his club football in Spain, believes the young star can fulfil potential if he listens to advise.
Chukwueze has enjoyed a steady rise since joining the La Liga side in 2017 following an impressive outing at the 2015 U-17 World Cup.
He has been linked with a big-money move away from Villarreal due to his eye-catching performances for the Yellow Submarine.
The 20-year-old has scored four goals and recorded four assists in the Spanish league this season.
Chukwueze has also been a vital member of the Super Eagles team, playing a key role in the side that finished third at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
“He’s a cool kid, he’s good and doing very well at Villarreal,” the 36-year-old told Brila FM.
“We just have to help him, and if there’s anything we need to tell him, we will surely do because we got to this stage by listening to people who have been there before us.
“And I think with the way he’s going, he would become one of the best players of his generation.
Ikechukwu Uche is presently on the books of Gimnastic in the Spanish second division.
