The season does not have a finish date yet due to the coronavirus pandemic that has affected activities worldwide, but clubs are already making transfer plans ahead of next campaign.
Premier League clubs, Crystal Palace and West Ham United are reportedly interested in bringing back Super Eagles star Josh Maja to England.
According to the Sun, the Eagles and the Hammers are ready to battle it out for the Nigeria international who is reportedly valued at £10million.
Maja was a big hit in England before he joined Bordeaux in January 2019. The 21-year-old scored 16 goals in the league one for Sunderland in just six months of the 2018-2019 season.
Although Sunderland was fighting for promotion then, Maja left the Black Cats in January of that season after Bordeaux paid £1.5m pounds for his services.
While he struggled in his first six months, Maja has fared better with Les Girondins in his first full season in France.
The 21-year-old has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 24 games for Christian Goucurff’s side this season.
With his improved form, Palace and West Ham both want him to add firepower to their attacks. Sébastien Haller has struggled with the Hammers, while the Eagles have had to rely on Wilfried Zaha for goals.
But the two sides believe Maja’s experience of English football and talents will be an excellent addition.
