The Nigerian youngster has been tipped for greatness since winning the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup with the Golden Eaglets.
Former Real Madrid defender, Raul Albiol admits that Samuel Chukwueze has the talents to become a great player but that the kid wonder needs to make adjustments both on and off the pitch to fulfil his vast potential.
The 20-year-old is already a Nigerian international, and he played a crucial role as the Super Eagles won bronze at the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
Liverpool are believed to be interested in adding the Nigerian international to their array of stars, with the Reds reportedly having a bid rejected during the winter transfer window.
Albiol, 34, only returned to Villarreal this January after spending six years at Napoli, but he has seen enough of the flying winger to know he’s destined for great things.
However, the two-time European Championships and World Cup winner with Spain wants the youngster to get better as a player and as a person.
“He’s a very good player, very fast and very good in one-against-one situations, a good dribbler,” explained Albion, according to quotes from SuperSports.
“He’s very quiet, he doesn’t speak a lot, but he’s always happy. So we are training him to become professional and a better player, but also to become a better person, a more open person who can have a better relationship with his colleagues.”
