The Super Eagles star played for the whole 90 minutes as Rangers stunned Celtic at Parkhead in the Scottish Premiership encounter between the two Old firm rivals on Sunday.

Ryan Kent put the Gers ahead in the 36th minute before Odsonne Edouard levelled the scores for the Hoops six minutes later.

But Nikola Katic finish eleven minutes after the restart sealed Rangers first win at the home of their rivals since 2010.

Super Eagles star Joe Aribo was in action for the whole duration, and his performance delighted former Rangers star, Neil McCann.

Aribo who has been pushed forward by Steven Gerrard received praises from McCann for the defensive shift he put in.

The former Hearts player told BBC Aribo gave more than 100% despite playing in a more advanced position in what was a tensed match.

“Aribo has been very good today – he’s properly put in a shift defensively, and went beyond, even when he’s looked tired. It’s the hardest I’ve seen him work.”

The win puts Rangers two points behind their rivals, but Gerrard’s men have a game in hand on the league leaders.
