Ahead of the January transfer window, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain are in a tight race to sign Roma midfielder.
The Red Devils have prepared a whooping sum of £50m in a bid to lure the Nicolo Zaniolo to Old Trafford and to fend off possible interest from PSG.
According to Il Messaggero, as quoted by The Sun, Manchester United have sent scouts to watch the Italian prospect in action for AS Roma ahead of a potential bid.
The report also suggests that the good relationship between Manchester United and AS Roma after Chris Smalling’s loan deal could work in the Premier League side’s favour in their bid to sign Zaniolo.
Meanwhile, PSG are thought to be preparing a bid in the January transfer window.
The Paris club are willing to offer £40m for the youngster, who is regarded as one of Italy’s most enterprising midfielder in the Serie A.
