Following his move from Arsenal to Huesca on deadline day, former U-17 star, Kelechi Nwakali has spoken for the first time.
The U-17 World Cup winner joined the Gunners in 2016 but failed to make an appearance for the team. However, he does not have any hard feelings towards the club.
In a post shared on his social media page, Nwakali thanked Arsenal for his time at the club.
“It’s been a good journey with Arsenal since 2016 despite never played (sic) any official game for them,” he wrote on his Instagram page. “I have gained a lot from my time here and everybody involved with the club have been great to me.

“I just want to say a big thank you and goodbye, because it is time to move on, time for another chapter and another challenge.”
I think your case just like many Nigerian former U17 players should be a lesson to up coming Nigerian players to stop going to big clubside in Europe straight from U17. The best thing for all our young players is go to Belgium, mid table teams in France, Holland, Italy and Spain. NFF should stop agents from selling our young players to big teams they know these players will never break into. They are destroying our young talents
