Lille Metropole have concluded plans to bring Victor Osimhen to the French Ligue 1, Soccernet understands.
French Ligue 1 side FC Lille are reportedly close to snapping up the young Nigerian forward from Sporting Chaleroi.
The former Wolfsburg striker joined Charleroi on loan at the start of the 2018/2019 and went on to have a spectacular season, banging in 20 goals in only 36 games for the Belgian side.
The club then wasted no time in activating their option to acquire the former Golden Eaglet hero on a permanent basis.
His top performances have however attracted Lille who see him as the perfect replacement for England-bound Rafael Leap.
According to a report by Francefootball.fr, the French club have made their move by submitting a bid of €12 million with a €2 million bonus and a 15% cut for Victor Osimhen and are awaiting Charleroi’s response.
Lille finished last season second on the Ligue 1 table behind champions PSG are set to feature in the UEFA Champions League this season.
The French side are also preparing for the eventual departure of star man, Nicolas Pepe reported to be on his way to Manchester United.
Osinmhen was a member of the Super Eagles squad that won bronze medal at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
