Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah took to social media after his side’s dramatic 3–2 Premier League victory over West Ham United at Stamford Bridge, Soccernet.ng reports.

The England international shared a post written in Nigerian Pidgin English that quickly drew the attention of mostly Nigerians online.

The Blues completed a remarkable second-half comeback after trailing 2–0 at the break, with goals from João Pedro, Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernández sealing the win.

Chalobah, who played the full 90 minutes in central defence, shared a photo from stoppage time showing him rising for an aerial ball inside Chelsea’s box alongside West Ham players and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

The message referenced a late defensive moment as West Ham pushed for an equaliser similar to that of Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin, who scored a 98th-minute header to seal Benfica's 4-2 victory against Real Madrid.

The post quickly gained traction, recording more than 42,000 likes and close to two million views within hours.

Chelsea complete comeback as Chalobah plays full match

Chelsea overturned a two-goal deficit after half-time, with João Pedro scoring in the 57th minute before Cucurella levelled the match in the 70th. Enzo Fernández then struck in stoppage time to secure all three points for the home side.

West Ham had taken control in the first half through early goals, but a triple substitution by manager Liam Rosenior after the interval shifted the momentum in Chelsea’s favour. The visitors’ frustration was compounded when defender Jean-Clair Todibo was sent off in added time.

Chalobah was among the standout defensive performers as Chelsea survived late pressure, including a final corner that was cleared in the last action of the game.
