There’s a new twist in what has been the biggest story of the transfer season. Paris Saint Germain have included Neymar in the squad that will be travelling to China despite reports saying the 27-year-old wants to quit the club this summer.
The former Santos star failed to report to training which prompted PSG to release a statement, saying he will be sanctioned.
The Brazilian international reportedly wants to quit the French champions this summer and has been linked with a move back to former club Barcelona, two years after leaving for a world record fee of 220m pounds.
According to reports, Barcelona are also interested in the 27-year-old and have already seen a 90m pounds bid plus Coutinho and Dembele turned down.
PSG’s sporting director, Leonardo revealed the club are willing to sell Neymar but it has to be for the right price. The club’s manager, Thomas Tuchel also claimed he knew of Neymar’s intent to leave the club before the Copa America began.
However, despite his future still uncertain, Neymar has been included in the Le Parisien’s squad for the tour to China. This was confirmed on PSG’s website with the former Barcelona star featuring in a star-studded 23 man squad.
Neymar due to return to squad work in China as his ankle recovers well. Thomas Meunier expected to return to group training in the next 48 hours after a hip knock. Presnel Kimpembe progressing well post-surgery, but 3-4 weeks away from a return to competitive action. #PSG
