Nigeria’s Falconet must avoid defeat against China if they have to qualify to the knockout stages of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in today’s encounter.
Nigeria narrowly lost their opening encounter 1-0 to Germany before bouncing back to winning ways by beating Haiti 1-0 in their second Group game, to sit second in the log with three points and zero goal difference.
On the other hand, China defeated Haiti 2-1 in their first match before losing 2-0 to Germany, to place them third on the log with three points and -1 goal difference.
The Falconet must either win or draw China in a bid to qualify to the knockout stages of the tournament as they are the only African team at the tournament after Ghana crashed out on Sunday despite beating New Zealand 1-0.
