Tottenham fullback Serge Aurier has revealed he came close to joining Barcelona over the summer.
However, the former PSG defender believes he paid for his reputation.
Aurier stated: “We will see what happens in my future. I think my reputation made four or five big European sides afraid. I was negotiating with Barcelona, very advanced negotiations.
“And Barcelona's people were not sure if I came here things would be different.”
He said at PSG “in some moments I felt like a prisoner, with a camera on my back”.
