Barcelona are ready to open talks with Celta Vigo about a permanent deal for David Costas.
Costas is currently on-loan with Barca B with Celta insisting he can be signed outright for €10m.
Sport says Barca B coach Gerard Lopez has recommended his permanent signing – though Celta's asking price is deemed too rich.
The 22 year-old defender is tied to Celta until 2020 and Barca staff see him quickly being promoted to the first team.
However, Costas will need some convincing as he wants regular first team football. It was for this reason that he insisted only on an initial loan with Barca this term.
