Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has admitted that playing at the World Cup remains the biggest dream of every player in football.
Ezenwa was in goal for the Home Based Super Eagles Team that lost 4-1 to Ghana in the final of the just concluded WAFU Cup tournament, where he was also nominated as the best goalkeeper.
Nigeria will face the Chipolopolo of Zambia in Uyo in a must-win encounter that could determine the fate of their World Cup campaign.
He stated that he’s put behind the WAFU Cup lose and focusing on the October 7 clash against Zambia in Uyo.
“World Cup is the summit of football, it will enrich our curriculum vitae and our children will be proud of us.
“Right now we are keenly looking forward to matchday to finish the game as well as pocket the ticket.
“I can tell you up to this moment we are yet to explain or understand what happened in the Wafu Cup final against hosts Ghana.
“We have however decided to see the massive defeat as one of those worst days in football in
order to forge ahead.
“We cannot rewrite history but strive to learn one or two lessons from the unfortunate event in
