Super Eagles begin training today

The Super Eagles will on Tuesday evening commence training for their crucial 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon in Uyo.As stated on the official twitter handle of the national team, the Super Eagles’ training session on Tuesday billed to start by will be open to the public.

However, the sessions for Wednesday and Thursday will be closed to the public.

As at Monday night, 16 players arrived in Uyo, while some landed in Lagos and will join up with the rest of the squad on Tuesday

Players who will begin Tuesday’s training in Uyo are skipper John Obi Mikel, Ogenyi Onazi, Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Dele Alampasu, Ola Aina, Mikel Agu, Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo, Tyronne Ebuehi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Elderson Echiejile, Chidozie Awaziem, Kelechi Iheanacho, William Troost-Ekong, and Wilfred Ndidi.

Players expected on Tuesday are Victor Moses, John Ogu, Anthony Nwakaeme, Leon Balogun, Aaron Samuel, Uche Agbo and Moses Simon.

The Super Eagles are top of Africa’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Group B with six points, after wins over Zambia and Algeria in their first two matches, while the Lions lie second with only two points following 1-1 draws with Algeria and Zambia.
