Guardiola eager to steal Iniesta from Barcelona

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is weighing up a shock move for Barcelona’s midfielder Andres Iniesta.

AS says Iniesta has spent his entire career in Catalonia, but admitted he is seriously mulling over his options for the first time.

And he still has a huge fan in the shape of the Manchester City boss.

With the acrimonious departure of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain, and the hunt for a big-name replacement, the fact that Iniesta has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal appears to have gone somewhat under the radar.

Former boss Guardiola would welcome him with open arms to City, while Inter Milan who, despite promises of a spending spree, have to watch their outlay this summer, are also keen.
