Manchester City goalkeeper, Joe Hart was on hand to motivate and support Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme as he visited him at the hospital.
Ikeme who last week was diagnosed with acute leukaemia by the club (Wolverhampton Wanderer), a championship team in England, during a series of blood test, has been receiving wide support from players around the world.
The Nigerian international has been Super Eagles number one goalkeeper since the departure of Vincent Enyeama; helping the team with crucial saves as they defeated Zambia 2-1 and Algeria 3-1 in a 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Hart’s visit will serve as a moral boost in his fight against the disease.
On Tuesday, the club also declared that Ikeme will maintain his number one shirt despite the arrival of goalkeeper, Ruddy this summer.
