New Roma sports chief Monchi is turning to Barcelona to boost his newly inherited squad.

Monchi has already signed Denis in the past, taking him on-loan for a year at Sevilla.
Now he's aiming to sign the midfielder in an outright deal, with Barca prepared to sell this summer.
