Despite playing a 1-1 draw against Platinum Stars on Wednesday, Super Eagles midfielder, Kingsley Sokari says he’s optimistic CS Sfaxien will qualify to the knockout stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Needing just a win to all but seal qualification to the next round of the competition, the Tunisian side fell behind in the 58th minute before levelling score in the 76th minute to steal a decisive one point.
Sokari who was on from start to finish, had one of his shots hit the woodwork and created a serious nightmare for the hosts defenders.
The former Esperance star told Soccernet.com.ng after the encounter in South Africa that CS Sfaxien would make it to the knockout stages of the competition.
“I am delighted the team got a precious one point against Platinum Stars even though we went in search of the three points,” Sokari told Soccernet.com.ng
” We are still confident of qualifying to the knockout stages of the CAF Confederation Cup as group leaders and I believe the job will be done when we play next away from home on July 2nd.”
