Luciano Vietto agrees to join FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona are currently in the market for a backup striker and it is very clear that Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto is one of the top names for that position and according to recent reports, he has agreed to join Barça this summer with just Atleti left to agree.
Barça have made it known that Luciano Vietto is the club’s preferred option for the backup striker role for 2016/2017 and the club are in advanced negotiations with the player who has agreed to join according to report from Madrid-based publication AS.
According to AS, the 22-year old striker and his agent have both agreed for the star to be Barcelona’s fourth signing of the summer verbally with just Atletico Madrid the final hurdle to cross.
Moreover, Mundo Deportivo reported that Vietto is excited with Barça’s interest and hopes the deal is done as fast as possible. His agent will meet physically with Barcelona transfer board today to discuss the transfer possibility.
Atletico Madrid are reluctant to let the player go and are asking for more than €20 million or at least that exact amount, the price they paid for him last summer. Reports has it that they are 100% willing to let him leave on loan, something Barça do not want as they want to sign him on a permanent deal.

Barcelona still have €25 million to spend on players this summer after the signing of Denis Suarez, Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne, but they are trying their best to pay less than €20 million for Vietto.
Sevilla are also strongly interested in signing Vietto and might just rob him off Barça as they are ready to take him on loan, unlike Barça who want nothing but a permanent deal.
But Vietto’s favourite destination is the Camp Nou where his dream of playing alongside Lionel Messi will come true. The player knows the style and philosophy of FC Barcelona will favour his playing style more as his current club Atletico Madrid embrace a much more defensive approach.

So far, there have not been any concrete speculations linking Kanu with Barça. The club has other options.
