Mfon Udoh fired a hat-trick for Nigeria's Enyimba Sunday to take a big step towards featuring in the group stage of this year's CAF Champions League after they defeated Etoile du Sahel from Tunisia 3-0 in Port Harcourt.
The last time Enyimba played in the money-spinning group phase of the competition in 2011.
Mfon Udoh gave Enyimba the lead after nine minutes from the penalty spot.
The home team piled on more pressure in search of more goals so that the return leg in Sousse will only be a mere formality.
They doubled their advantage in the 55thminute through Mfon Udoh for his sixth goal of the competition.
The striker tapped in from close range off a long-range drive by Dare Ojo.
