NFF president, Amaku Pinnick |
Ahead of the crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against the Pharaoh’s of Egypt, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has started preparations to ensure the Super Eagles get total support from the stands at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
This was disclosed yesterday by the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick in an exclusive chat with Daily Sunsports.
Pinnick explained that preparation has begun in earnest as the federation have started mobilising fans to throng into the match venue.
He said:“I know the Eagles will get total support in Kaduna when Egypt come calling. The fact that we are playing in Kaduna is a huge advantage. It is a venue that you are sure the fans will get behind you right from the very first blast of the referee’s whistle.
“As we speak, we have started mobilizing the fans. We want them to double their support for the team on that day. We want a situation where the entire arena will be painted green and white.
“We want a full house; we are already working towards this. God willing, all will be fine in spite of the CHAN 2016 setback.”
The former Delta state FA chairman also promised Nigerians that no stone would be left unturned in the build up to the all-important clash.
