Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo has been shortlisted for the Premier League player of the month of December.
Ighalo will however face stiff competition from Nigerian-born Dele Alli who has been in top form for Tottenham Hotspurs.
While Ighalo has netted 13 goals for Watford in the EPL, Alli has netted five for Spurs and was recently awarded for his performance with a new contract.
Both will however come up against Mezut Ozil (Arsenal), Marko Arnautovic (Stoke City), Romelu Lukaku (Everton) and Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City) for the award.
Ighalo will be hoping the clinch the award for the first time having being shortlisted three times in five months.
