Dele-Bashiru is expected to join a new club this summer, and it might just be a Serie A side

Nigerian midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has emerged as a transfer target for Serie A clubs Parma, Cremonese, and Bologna this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Watford star, who is the older brother of Super Eagles star Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has been with the Hornets since 2019 after he left the Manchester City Academy.

The 25-year-old central midfielder has featured in 79 games for the club, with eight goals and four assists to his name.

However, he is expected to leave this summer, as he has one year left on his contract and Watford are open to selling him.

According to UK journalist Anthony Joseph, Dele-Bashiru is attracting interest from abroad with Cremonese, Bologna, Parma, and Greek Super League club PAOK.

However, Watford want €10 million (₦16.4 billion) before they listen to any bids. Meanwhile, the former Flying Eagles star is valued at €1.5 million on Transfermarkt.

While Bologna and Parma can afford to fork out €10 million for a player, the player would have to be really good before they make such a move. For PAOK and Cremonese, they have never spent above €6.5 million for a player.

None of the clubs linked with Dele-Bashiru have tabled an offer yet. But in the coming weeks, there could be a change.

Who is Tom Dele-Bashiru, and has he ever played for the Super Eagles?

Tom Dele-Bashiru is the older brother of Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. Both players were groomed at Manchester City's academy but had to leave as they were deemed as surplus to requirements.

Tom was born to Nigerian parents in Manchester, England just like his brother Fisayo. And he played for England's Under-16s.

However, he later switched to Nigeria and played for the Flying Eagles at the 2029 Under-20 FIFA World Cup. Dele-Bashiru also played the Under-23s, but has not been called up to the Super Eagles.

The 25-year-old can operate as a central of defensive midfielder, so he would be a good asset for any team that has him. He will hope to get a good move and shine for his next club.
