John Obi Mikel’s intermediary has reacted to speculations in the local media suggesting that the Chelsea midfielder has made himself available to coach Samson Siasia for the 2016 Olympic Games.

The defensive midfielder’s intermediary has also provided an update on reports linking the Nigeria international with a move to Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan and Super Lig giants Galatasaray when the transfer window opens.

“Mikel may leave Chelsea at the end of this season, he has been complaining about his lack of game time. Arsenal wanted him this summer but Chelsea blocked the move, preferring to sell him outside England, ” Mikel’s rep told allnigeriasoccer.com.

“Galatasaray and Beijing Guoan are still in touch with him but nothing has been concluded. There is nothing concrete yet, he has told Beijing Guoan what he wants.

“It is not true that he wants to play in the Olympic Games, which is mainly for U23 players.”

The 28 – year – old Mikel has made nine appearances for Chelsea in all competitions so far this season.
