www.soccernet.com.ngManchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is eager to get more playing opportunities in the Premier League after making his official debut against Watford before the international break.

Everything is pointing to the fact that the Flying Eagles star will at least make coach Manuel Pellegrini’s 18 – man squad when The Citizens confront Crystal Palace this weekend as Ivorian international Wilfried Bony is far from being fit.

“It’s been going great, I’ve been training with the first-team and the guys have been great with me and I’m really enjoying it,” Kelechi told mcfc.co.uk.

“It was a great feeling to make my debut against Watford. I was hoping to come on – the manager introduced me and I was very happy to come on.

“I’m hoping for more Premier League minutes – I have to work hard in training and then hopefully the manager will introduce me again so I can show what I can do.”
