SoccerNet Nigeria:
Newly promoted Greek Super League club AEK Athens may lose the services of Macauley Chrisantus before the start of the new season if transfer speculations are anything to go by.
According to enwsi.gr, an unnamed Qatari club have expressed interest in his signature, and have firmed up their desire to snap him up by launching an undisclosed bid for the former Golden Eaglets star.
The Yellow- Blacks hierarchy are weighing up the pros and cons of releasing Chrisantus from his contract before expiration.[post_ad]
In the winter transfer market, the Golden Boot winner at the 2007 Fifa Under 17s appended his signature to a three and a half year deal with AEK Athens, and ended the season with 6 goals to his name.
Macauley Chrisantus previously wore the jerseys of Hamburg, Sivasspor, Las Palmas, FSV Frankfurt and Karlsruher SC.
