The Catalans kicked off their pre-season campaign in style registering a comfortable 3-0 win over neighbours L’Escala
A brace for Maxi Rolon and a second half strike from new player Aitor Cantalapiedra ensured Barcelona get off to a winning start in their preseason campaign.
After a training game against Novata few days ago that saw the Catalans emerge 8-0 winners, Barcelona B played their first official preseason at the Nou Camp Municipal De L’Escala and it didn’t take time before the goals started coming.
Maxi Rolon opened the scoring on 21 minutes after latching on to a cross from Xavier Quintilla.
The 20-year-old went on to score his second goal in the space of two minutes as he fired home a delightful chip after an assist from defender Edger Ie.
The first half ended 2-0 in favour of the Azulgranas and they started the second half substituting all eleven players.
However, the party wasn’t over as Aitor Cantalapiedra, promoted from Juvenil A, wrapped up the scoring for the night from an assist from fellow substitute Adama Traore.
Maxi Rolon’s brace means the youngster has netted 6 times in his last two games for Barca B following a quadruple in the 8-0 win over Novata.
Grimaldo and Jean-Marie Dongou were not able to play due to injury problems.
