The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has described Super Falcons’ emergence as the best female side at the just concluded 2014 CAF/Glo Award as a thing of pride to the federation.
Amaju Pinnick, the President of the NFF, made the observation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
“They happen to be our pride at the moment; we will see how we can garnish that with corporate Nigeria getting into female football; we are working around it already.
“It is not easy they have been able to develop and corporate Nigeria is now looking at them.
“And I can assure you, we are going to work in making sure of that.
On the inability of Vincent Enyeama to emerge as the footballer of the year, Pinnick said that he took the verdict with mixed feelings.
“Though I wasn’t happy, but I wasn’t disappointed.
“I just know that as a goalkeeper he should be given more privilege because hardly have you seen a goalkeeper in this category,’’he said.
