Liverpool may recall highly rated winger, Jordon Ibe, from his season-long loan spell at Championship high-flyers Derby County, according to manager Brendan Rodgers.
According to SL10, the 19-year-old has impressed during his time with the English Championship outfit, netting five goals in 19 appearances in the second tier.
On Tuesday, the young Ibe performed well as the Rams won 2-0 against Leeds United in a league match.
The Reds’ growing problems might force Rodgers to recall the highly rated Anglo Nigerian winger from his loan spell at Derby County.
The manager often extols the virtues of the youngster but he is wary of not hampering the confidence of the dashing winger.
“Jordan’s a loan to the end of season, but we could bring him back if we need to, because there is a review in January,” Rodgers confirmed in his press conference ahead of the club’s New Year’s day clash with Leicester City.
“If we bring him back it would be to contribute to the first team. I’ve seen Jordan, and he’s been outstanding.”
His likely recall depends on the condition of each individual in Rodgers’ squad, but it might happen due to the fact that Raheem Sterling has been utilised as the lone striker in recent times.
The England Under-19 International, who is of Nigerian descent, spent last season on loan at Birmingham City, where he played 11 games and scored one goal.
