Fiorentina have reportedly made enquiries to buy Bayer Leverkusen defender Giulio Donati.
The former Italian Under-21 international left Inter for the Bundesliga in 2013 and has started six games so far this season.
According to La Nazione the Viola have made contact with the German side about signing the 24-year-old, who they were also linked with in the summer.
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade is rumoured to have made the enquiry on Donati which, back in the summer, was also confirmed by Leverkusen general manager Rudi Voller.
“It’s true, [Fiorentina sporting director Daniele] Prade has phoned me and asked about the availability of Donati,” Voller told BILD.
However at that time Voller was clear that the club did not want to lose the right-back. “We need Donati, we have a season full of matches ahead of us.
“This is also the point of view of Roger Schmidt. “The manager regards Donati highly.”
