Super Falcons look to finish the job
Nigeria made a positive start to their Olympic qualifying campaign with a controlled 2-0 win in the first leg, officially designated as Comoros' home fixture but played in Ikenne because the island nation does not have a CAF-approved venue.
The Super Falcons had to be patient in the opening half before breaking the deadlock three minutes after the restart. Alozie finished from close range in the 48th minute after Gift Monday helped create the opportunity.
Kanu then doubled Nigeria's advantage with a header from Jennifer Echegini's corner around the hour mark, giving the African champions a valuable cushion ahead of the return fixture.
Nigeria will now aim to turn that advantage into qualification. Comoros, meanwhile, need a significant response to keep their Olympic hopes alive.

What is at stake for Nigeria?
The aggregate winner will progress to the third round of the African qualifiers, where Morocco are waiting after advancing directly following the withdrawal of the Republic of Congo.
The Super Falcons returned to the Olympic women's football tournament at Paris 2024 after a 16-year absence. They are seeking consecutive appearances at the Games and will know that another disciplined performance could take them one step closer to Los Angeles 2028.
