The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica in the final of the 2026 Unity Cup, Soccernet.ng.
Nigeria opened the 2026 Unity Cup with a win over Zimbabwe on Tuesday. Although it was not a great performance from the three-time champions, a brace from new boy Femi Azeez sealed the win for Nigeria.
However, they had to wait until yesterday to know their opponents in the final. The two teams were India and and North American giants Jamaica who locked horns at the Valley.

Going into the game, the Reggae Boyz were the favourites, and they showed their quality on the night. They had the better chances and played the better football. Eventually, it was goals from Kaheim Dixon and Courtney Clarke that sealed a 2-0 win for them.
Nigeria vs Jamaica: Will the Super Eagles Get the Win?

The game between Nigeria and Jamaica will be a tight one, as the Reggae Boyz are a decent team. This is a replay of last year's final which Nigeria won with Eric Chelle in charge of the team.
Their biggest star is Aston Villa's Leon Bailey, but he was not invited to the Unity Cup. As such, their attacking threat has been significantly reduced.
The Jamaicans are quick and clinical, so they cannot be afforded space in the final third. Otherwise, Arthur Okonkwo will be kept very busy making saves or picking the ball out of his net.

Despite the absence of several top stars, the Nigerian team is still a very good side. After the first game against Zimbabwe, the coach admitted that the players did not fully follow his instructions even though they got the victory. As such, you should definitely expect to see a better Super Eagles performance in the final on Saturday.
