Super Eagles and Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye might be returning to action sooner than expected after undergoing a series of tests in Italy, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 26-year-old suffered a thigh contusion while on International duty with Nigeria, having started a game for Eric Chelle's men for the first time since June 2025.
The injury sidelined the ex-Watford man for the game against Jordan, where the Super Eagles surrendered the lead twice before the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Maduka Okoye poised for Udinese training return
Francis Uzoho started in goal for Nigeria against Jordan, but appeared to pick up a thigh injury as well, before Adebayo Adeleye replaced him.
As per Tutto Mercatoweb, the Germany-born Nigerian's injury isn't as bad as feared, and he's expected to undergo routine checks with the Udinese medical staff before joining team training.

There's optimism that Okoye will be completely fit for Udinese's fixture against Como on the 6th of April, which is next Monday.
The report stated the situation is under control, and they'll be monitoring how he progresses in the next few days to give a final verdict.
Maduka Okoye has kept just six clean sheets in 22 league games for the Bianconeri this season, conceding 26 goals.

Udinese are currently 11th on the Serie A table, having accrued 39 points from 30 games. Como, meanwhile, are 4th in just their second top-flight campaign, looking to qualify for the UEFA Champions League under Cesc Fabregas.
