Former Bayern Munich defensive midfielder Dietmar Hamann has told Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to move to the English Premier League if he eventually decides to leave Galatasaray, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen surprised many fans when he announced that he was joining Turkish Süper Lig champions Galatasaray last summer.
At the time, he was linked with several clubs in the top five leagues of Europe. Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and several other sides were linked with the superstar. But it was the Cimbom that later prevailed.

So far, Osimhen has been brilliant for Galatasaray, contributing 19 goals and seven assists in 29 appearances. With him on the team, the Turkish champions reached the Round of 16 of the Champions League, becoming the first Turkish club to do so in about a decade.
However, there is still a belief that he could exit Rams Park eventually, as some top clubs still have their eyes on him. Retired German star Hamann, who played for top clubs like Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, has a choice destination in mind for Osimhen.

Dietmar Hamann played for several elite clubs during his career, and he believes that the best fit for the striker is Premier League club Newcastle United.
He believes that Osimhen would be an upgrade on Nick Woltemade, who has endured a difficult start to life at Newcastle.
Hamann feels that Liverpool would have been a fine option, but since they already possess two potent strikers in Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak, it might not be wise to move there.
”I couldn't believe Osimhen transferred to Turkey. I was truly surprised that no English team signed him. Last summer, almost everyone had a problem at the center-forward position,” Hamann said.
”Osimhen is an extraordinary player. The reason Galatasaray is performing so well in the league is likely because of him. I enjoy watching him. I believe if he played in the Premier League, he would significantly strengthen whichever team he joined”
”Liverpool already has two players in that position, so nothing will happen there for Osimhen. However, he has pace, power, and clinical finishing. If Newcastle United sells Nick Woltemade, Osimhen could be a perfect fit for them.”

As it stands, it would take nothing less than €100 million to land Osimhen from Galatasaray. Hence, it is unlikely that he will secure a move this summer.
But from next season, there will likely be even more speculation regarding his future, especially if he keeps performing at a high level.
