Super Falcons and AS Roma Women winger Omorinsola Babajide has described Nigeria's WAFCON X triumph under Justin Madugu as the pinnacle of her career, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old made her debut for the Nigerian National team in 2023 after switching allegiance from England two years prior.
However, she was riddled with joy when the opportunity of a maiden tournament with the green and whites came, and she grabbed it with both hands, scoring and providing an assist against Tunisia at the WAFCON 2024 tournament.

Super Falcons: Rinsola relishes WAFCON 2024 triumph
Speaking in an interview with the 49th Street, London-born Rinsola recalled how Nigeria overturned a two-goal deficit in the final against Morocco.
“At half-time, I just feel like we had a never-say-die mentality. It was a final; there was no second leg. So we knew we needed to give more,” the former Liverpool winger said.

“We had more energy. And I feel like that’s what allowed us to come back and get the winner. We really wanted to win, and we made it happen. We made our dream come true.”
“I’m Nigerian. As big an achievement as it was and with how successful Mission X was, it’s been the pinnacle of my career to date.
The proudest moment of my career so far would definitely be lifting the WAFCON trophy in my first-ever mainstream tournament. That has to be the greatest,” the one-time WAFCON winner concluded.

Rinsola Babajide is the only Nigerian footballer to have clinched Liverpool Women’s Player of the Season award. She did so in the 2019/2020 season.
