Fulham brought an end to their Premier League three-game losing streak at the Stadium of Light with a 3-1 win over Sunderland, with Super Eagles stars heavily involved, Soccernet.ng reports.
Alex Iwobi scored his third league goal of the season while Mexican striker Raul Jimenez bagged a brace to send Marco Silva's men into the top half of the English top-flight league.
Calvin Bassey was also given his second start of the year after losing his spot to Jorge Cuenca following the timing of the AFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco.

Super Eagles: Iwobi shines in Fulham's win over Sunderland
The Nigerian midfielder was the provider for the Cottagers' first goal nine minutes after the start of the second half.
Iwobi crossed the ball from a corner kick, and Raul Jimenez rose highest to tap the ball home for his seventh league goal of the season.

The former Wolves man doubled the lead five minutes later from the spot. Harry Wilson whipped in a cross from a free-kick about 40 yards out, but Brian Brobbey pulled Calvin Bassey's shirt as the Super Eagles defender attempted to reach the ball.
Referee Craig Pawson immediately issued a yellow card to the Dutchman, and Jimenez stepped up to Robin Roefs the wrong way, sending his spot kick to the bottom left corner.
Fulham could've been out of sight, but Ryan Sessegnon pulled Dan Ballard down in the 75th minute, causing a penalty for the home side that French midfielder Enzo Le Fee tucked away well.

Some ten minutes later, Iwobi sealed all three points for Fulham. A counterattack led by Harry Wilson saw Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz break on the counter.
The Welshman picked out the Sunderland defence with a splitting pass, playing Iwobi through on goal, and the ex-Arsenal man tipped the ball over Robin Roefs to close the game.
