Nigeria's Super Eagles will face the Atlas Lions of Morocco on Wednesday for a spot in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Both teams are African heavyweights and possess some of the finest talent on the continent, promising a high-stakes battle. Moreover, they have already proven their mettle in this tournament by dominating their matches leading up to this stage.
Going into the game, Morocco coach Walid Regragui has nearly all of his key players available and ready for action.

The only notable absentees will be Azzedine Ounahi, Romain Saïss, and Hamza Igamane, who are sidelined with various injuries.
It is a similar situation for Nigeria's coach, Eric Chelle. The only notable absentee for the Super Eagles is captain Wilfred Ndidi, who is suspended for the fixture due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

Ahead of the fixture on Wednesday night, Soccernet.ng predicts Nigeria's possible starting XI for the game against Morocco.
Predicted Super Eagles XI Against Morocco
Goalkeeper

Coach Eric Chelle will likely stick with his first-choice goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, against the Atlas Lions. So far at AFCON 2025, the Chippa United star has been relatively untested in most of the Super Eagles' games. However, against Morocco, he will certainly have to prove his worth.
Defenders
Chelle is expected to retain his usual back four, as all starters are fully fit. Consequently, Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi will partner at center-back.

At left-back, Bruno Onyemaechi will keep his place, while Bright Osayi-Samuel will start at right-back. The Super Eagles' defense has not been breached in the knockout rounds, and they will be hoping to maintain that record.
However, the players will need to operate at 200 percent to limit the threats posed by attackers like Brahim Díaz, Ayoub El Kaabi, and Abde Ezzalzouli.
Midfielders
The Super Eagles' midfield will likely be tweaked slightly due to Ndidi's suspension.

Raphael Onyedika is expected to replace the skipper at the base of the midfield, where he will be partnered by Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka. They will have their work cut out for them, as Morocco plays high-octane football and will look to peg Nigeria back from the start.
Attackers
The forward line is expected to remain unchanged. Akor Adams and Victor Osimhen will lead the attack for Nigeria.

Just behind them, Ademola Lookman will start, occasionally drifting to the left side of the pitch to provide width. The Super Eagles' attack has been the most potent in the tournament so far, and they will look to continue their clinical form in front of the goal.
