Everton's David Moyes sparks Alebiosu transfer talks
Ola Aina and Benjamin Frederick's injury problems saw Blackburn Rovers' Ryan Alebiosu get a maiden call-up to the Nigerian National team, heading straight into the AFCON 2025 28-man squad.
The 24-year-old made his debut in the Super Eagles' final group game against Uganda before suffering a deep cut in his leg.
The former Arsenal defender has caught the eye of several top clubs with his display. Everton, Wolfsburg and Genoa are among the top European clubs tracking the pacy full-back.

Defensively, Moyes has been asking the Everton board for reinforcements in the winter transfer window. The former West Ham manager was disappointed with his side's performance, but he reiterated he wants players who can perform their defensive duties well, a bill Alebiosu fits perfectly.
“I'm disappointed we didn't play better. We were just a bit short in some areas. We were disappointing defensively today and not as strong as we have been,” the 62-year-old said in quotes revealed by Everton's official website.

“We are short on a lot of our creative players, which showed at times. [But] we didn't do our defensive duties as well as we could have.
“When your centre forwards score goals, that's what we want. Today, they didn't have the support and back-up. If we'd kept a clean sheet, we could have won. But no complaints, Brentford deserved the victory.”

The one-cap Super Eagles star has played 21 games for Blackburn this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
