Birmingham defender Bright Osayi-Samuel was spotted battling with what could be perceived as a knock during Nigeria's clash against Algeria…

Super Eagles winger Bright Osayi-Samuel has reassured fans that he will be fit for the semi-final after being seen in discomfort during Nigeria’s 2–0 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final victory over Algeria at Stade de Marrakech, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Birmingham City star was spotted holding his legs late in the clash, raising concerns about a potential injury ahead of their semi-final clash against hosts Morocco.

“I’ll be absolutely fine” — Osayi-Samuel speaks

Speaking to Soccernet.ng after the match, the Nigeria international downplayed the issue, explaining that the discomfort was caused by cramps rather than a serious injury.

“No, I had cramps. My toes were cold and I couldn’t move them, but I’ll be fine, absolutely fine,” he said.

With Ola Aina and Benjamin Frederick unavailable due to injury, the winger has stepped up admirably, helping the Super Eagles maintain balance throughout their campaign.
