Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has been clocked as the seventh-fastest player in the English Premier League this season, Soccernet.ng reports.
Aina spent a period on the bench after sustaining a hamstring injury while on international duty for Nigeria in September.
However, prior to that injury, he was a regular starter for Nottingham Forest and an integral part of then-coach Nuno Espirito Santo's setup.

Aina's major strengths include his ability in one-on-one situations, dribbling, technical skill, and, notably, his speed. Despite this, he is often overlooked in conversations about the league's quickest players.
A recent report, however, has highlighted his elite speed. According to Transfer News Live, the Super Eagles star has recorded the seventh-highest speed in the English top flight this season, clocking in at 35.82km/h.

The six players ahead of him in the ranking are Jackson Tchatchoua (Wolves), Bryan Mbeumo (Manchester United), Dan James (Leeds United), Yankuba Minteh (Brighton), Anthony Elanga (Newcastle), and Jeremie Frimpong (Liverpool).
⚡️ The players in the Premier League this season (km/h):
Jackson Tchatchoua — 37.30
Bryan Mbeumo — 36.36
Dan James — 36.14
Yankuba Minteh — 36.11
Anthony Elanga — 36.00
Jeremie Frimpong — 35.86
Ola Aina — 35.82
Brajan Gruda — 35.82

This stats just shows how much of an important asset Aina is to Nottingham Forest.
Ola Aina: Super Eagles Star Set For Comeback At Nottingham Forest
After his three-month layoff, Ola Aina is one step closer to returning to action for Nottingham Forest.

The Chelsea Academy graduate has been working on the pitch for the last three weeks. Then on Friday, he played with Forest's U21s in their Premier League Cup game against Millwall.
Coach Sean Dyche is a coach that pays a lot of attention to his backline, and Aina's return will give him a significant boost at right-back.

Unfortunately, Aina was not named in Nigeria's squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nation. So coach Eric Chelle will definitely miss his quality and experience.
