Manchester United secured their first victory against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park since 2020…

Nigerian afrobeat star Adekunle Gold has reflected on his independence from Manchester United's drama following their hard-fought 2–1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The award-winning singer, known as Big Fish on social media, shared his feelings about the club’s recent struggles and the emotional distance he has developed after years of inconsistent performances from the Red Devils.

What Adekunle Gold Said

Adekunle Gold posted on X at 8:35 pm on 30 November 2025, writing:

“I’m proud of the man I’ve become. Man Utd no too dey bother me again. Anything dem like make dem do.”

The post, which quickly garnered over 173,000 views, aligns with the light-hearted frustration shared by many Manchester United fans who have grown accustomed to the team’s unpredictable form.

However, the timing of the comment—shortly after United’s comeback win—added a humour to the conversation.

Crystal Palace vs Man Utd: What Happened in the Game?

Manchester United defeated Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park with a score of 2 goals to 1. Palace took the lead in the first half when Jean-Philippe Mateta scored from the penalty spot after a foul on Leny Yoro.

Although Mateta’s first effort was disallowed for a double-touch, he converted the retake to give the hosts the advantage.

United returned from the break with renewed energy. Joshua Zirkzee equalised in the 54th minute, to end a long Premier League goal drought and swing the momentum back towards the visitors.

Less than ten minutes later, Mason Mount struck a superb winner from a well-worked set-piece routine, to seal the comeback and hand Palace their first home league defeat since February.

While the win lifted United up the table and eased pressure from their recent poor run, the match also further expose lingering concerns—particularly their shaky first-half performance.
