What can prepare Super Eagles for AFCON matches
According to Dele-Bashiru, the Super Eagles are treating every game at the tournament with the same level of seriousness, regardless of the opponent, as part of their preparation strategy.
“I’ve said before that it’s important that we take each game the same way — with the same focus, the same respect for the opposition — and train hard, following what the coach wants from us,” the midfielder said.

Nigeria’s coaching crew has prioritised structured training sessions that helped the team secure all three points against Tanzania in their opening match.

With Tunisia coming off a convincing 3-1 win over Uganda, the Super Eagles are expected to maintain that disciplined approach as they chase early qualification for the knockout stages.
“I can play anywhere” – Dele-Bashiru
When asked about his prefered role, Dele-Bashiru spoke on his ability to adapt to different roles on the pitch.
“I think in my career I’ve played in a lot of different positions, so I’m quite versatile when it comes to that aspect of the game,” he said. “Wherever the coach asks me to play, that’s where I’ll play, and I’ll try to do as well as I can to help the team get the victory.”
Eric Chelle is expected to make only minor adjustments to the side that defeated Tanzania. Dele-Bashiru’s impressive performance for his club and country gives Nigeria additional options in midfield and attack when they face a tactically disciplined Tunisian side.
