Okoye comes out on top for Udinese as Lookman’s Atalanta go six games without a win

Super Eagles and Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was in good form as his side sealed a 1-0 win over Ademola Lookman's Atalanta, Soccernet.ng reports.

Kosta Runjaic's team welcomed Ivan Juric's side to the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine, although they'd just won one of their last five games heading into the clash.

Atalanta, on the other hand, last tasted victory in September, playing five straight draws and scoring just four goals.

Ademola Lookman came off the bench on the hour mark, but was kept quiet by Le Zebrette as they held on for a point.

Atalanta came close during the closing minutes of the game. A half-volley well struck by Davide Zappacosta was well denied by Okoye before the final whistle was blown by the referee.

Atalanta drop, Udinese rise

Nicolo Zaniolo's goal meant Atalanta have now lost a domestic game for the first time this season. However, they'll need to pick themselves up soon after a winless October. They're now 11th in the Italian top-flight.

Udinese, on the other hand, are now into the top half of the Serie A league table, and Okoye's form has given Eric Chelle more headaches in the Super Eagles' goalkeeping department.
