Per the official club website, this extends the stay of the Nigerian descent at Turf Moor until the summer of 2026.

Born in Liverpool and of Nigerian origin, Adekoya has been part of Burnley’s youth system since his U12 days where he rose through the ranks and earned a professional deal.

Noah Adekoya: Nigerian Descent Who Shines At Burnley

The 18-year-old recently completed a successful two-year scholarship under U18s manager Tony Philliskirk, where he honed his leadership skills and captained the team to the U18 Professional Development League North title last season.

Standing out as a composed, and intelligent defender, Adekoya’s maturity on the pitch has impressed the club’s coaching staff.

His ability to read the game, organise the defence, and communicate effectively with teammates earned him the captain’s armband during his scholarship period.

He also made nine appearances for Burnley’s U21s, scoring his first goal at that level in a 3–0 win over Fleetwood Town in April.

“Having been here for so long it’s a good feeling, and I’m so happy. Burnley feels like home, and I feel like the staff here have trust in me.”

Burnley’s Academy Manager, Chris Casper, also praised the youngster’s progress:

“Noah showed real leadership qualities last season and that, alongside his performances and physical profile, gives us confidence that he can keep improving.”
