The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to take on The Crocodiles of Lesotho by 5:00 PM today at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane, Pietersburg in South Africa, Soccernet.ng reports.
While Nigeria need the victory more than Lesotho, a loss to the South African side will give Benin Republic and Bafana Bafana an edge in the race to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
However, captain and goalkeeper of the Lesotho team, Sekhoane Moerane, has revealed the Crocodiles are coming out with just one aim, to give their best on the pitch, and not to play in favour of anyone.

What Moerane said ahead of Nigeria's game
The Orbit College goalkeeper mentioned that his side respect Nigeria, but will show no iota of fear in Polokwane when the game kicks off.
“Going into the game, we are not going to show fear because one thing we have to do, is not to fear our opponents but we should give them respect,” the 28-year-old said in his pre-game presser.
“We will be going with a lot of respect but not showing fear, and that simply means we are going to give them our best, everything we have.
“We are not doing anyone a favour. We are playing for our country, playing for Basotho.
“Every player knows what this means; it’s about pride and commitment,” he concluded.
Lesotho basically have nothing to fight for, as their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is non-existent.
They've accrued nine points from eight games, have a goal difference of -3, and are currently 5th in the group standings.
