Reigning NPFL Champions Remo Stars defeated Comoros side Union Sportive de Zilimadjou 5-0 over two legs to extend their run in the CAF Champions League qualification round, Soccernet.ng reports.
Up next for Daniel Ogunmodede's side in the tournament is a two-legged fixture against the 2016 Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Miguel Cardoso's side featured in the maiden edition of the 32-team FIFA Club World Cup last summer, finishing third in Group F behind Borussia Dortmund and Fluminense.

With most of the Sundowns players representing South Africa during the International break, their head coach, Miguel Casado is expecting his players to be stretched, which could in turn affect their results when they play against Remo Stars on the 17th of October.
“The city we are going to play in, we have to travel for two days. We cannot make both flights in one day,” the former AEK Athens head coach said in quotes revealed by the South African.
“We need to do the best possible and then adapt when our players return from national duty. The trip is obviously difficult, but this is Champions League football,” the 53-year-old concluded.
While Sundowns have no domestic fixtures during the International break, Remo Stars will continue their league season in the NPFL, playing against Wikki Tourists and Katsina United.
Luckily for them, they do not have any players called up to Eric Chelle's squad for the October International break fixtures against Lesotho and the Republic of Benin.
