Chippa United coach Luc Eymael has stated that his recent comments about Stanley Nwabali were misunderstood, as the the Super Eagles star and the club still have a solid relationship, Soccernet.ng reports.
After Chippa United's game against Polokwane last week where Nwabali was missing, coach Eymael stated that Nwabali had issues with the club, as reported by Soccernet.ng.
Eymael comments made it seem like Nwabali was unhappy or he was trying to force a move away from the club, amid links to several clubs in Africa and abroad.
However, the Super Eagles star returned to the Chilli boyss' starting lineup against Sekhukhune two days ago. He even made a last-minute penalty save to ensure the game ended 1-1.

From Nwabali's interactions with his teammates and his body language during and after the game, he didn't seem to be unhappy our out of place.
Luc Eymael Reveals The True Situation With Stanley Nwabali
After the game between Chippa United and Sekhukhune, coach Luc Eymael was asked about the situation with Stanley Nwabali, and he revealed that there was some misunderstanding with his previous statements.
The Belgian tactician stated that Nwabali has a good relationship with the club. He also noted that the Super Eagles star missed the Polokwane game due to a slight injury.
“There was some kind of miscommunication, not only with Stanley but also with the medical staff,” coach Eymael said.
“He also made an effort to play because he is not 100 per cent, but you saw his importance [in the Sekhukhune game]. He is very secure, calm for the defence, and all these things. But there has been a miscommunication.
“But I didn’t want to talk because I didn’t know exactly; when you [media] asked me, I said it’s private because I didn’t know exactly because the other one was saying that and the other one was saying that. You know.
“So when I didn’t have the word or communication of everybody, then I could not analyse. That’s why I said that, and I didn’t translate well,” Eymael added.
Chippa United will be hoping that Nwabali stays fit, as he has been their best player this season.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle will be banking on the 29-year-old shot-stopper ahead of the next round of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in October.
